Agustina "Teresa" A. Mercado, 69, of Lancaster, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, May 13, 2018 surrounded by her loving family. She was the daughter of the late Carmen (Orellano) and Segundo Merino. Agustina was a loving mother, grandmother and a devoted wife. She enjoyed shopping and was known for her wonderful fashion. Agustina loved everyone. She was an incredible cook and no one left her home hungry. She will be remembered as the best cook in the nation and the most loving Mama. She dearly loved any time she was able to spend with her family, especially her grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Luis; her children: David Mercado of Lancaster, Damaris M. Mercado of Lancaster; her 5 grandchildren: Nathaniel, Emmanuel, Daniel, James and Liam; her sister, Alicia Compoverde, of NY and a brother; a host of nieces and nephews and many more friends and family. She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Damaris Delcarmen Merino and numerous brothers and sisters. A Funeral Service for Augustina will be held at 12:00PM on Thursday, May 17, 2018 at Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home located at 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. Family will be receiving guests prior to the service from 10:00AM to 12:00PM. Interment will follow at Landis Valley Cemetery.
