Abram M. Shenk, 92, of Luther Acres, Lititz, passed away Wednesday, September 05, 2012 at Luther Acres. Born in Manor Twp. on August 21, 1920, he was the son of the late Clayton R. and Elizabeth F. (Sangrey) Shenk. He was married to the late Agnes H. Shenk who passed away on October 12, 2008.

He was a member of Calvary Church, Lancaster. He was a poultry farmer for Miller & Bushong, Rohrerstown, and later worked as a machine operator at Black & Decker for 17 years and retiring from there in 1983. He enjoyed his family and making a family genealogy scrapbook. He also enjoyed doing projects and watching NASCAR,

He is survived by a son, A. Kenneth husband of Doris (Harnish) Shenk, Lititz, and a daughter, G. Jean wife of Harold B. Wissler, New Holland. 5 grandchildren; Lori, Duane, Deb, Darla, Shelley, and 11 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Also surviving is one brother, Paul Shenk of CA, and 2 sisters, Myrtle Potter of FL and Naomi Funk of Columbia, PA. He was preceded in death by 4 brothers, Landis, Clayton, Benjamin, and Raymond.

A Funeral Service will be held Friday, September 7, 2012 at Luther Acres Chapel of the Good Samaritan, Luther Care 250 St. Luke Dr. Lititz 17543 at 7PM with Rev. David Allen officiating. Friends and Family will be received at the Chapel before the service from 6-7PM. Interment will be private.
