Wilmer H. Denlinger
Wilmer H. Denlinger, of Willow Street, passed away at home on Friday, March 23, 2018 of natural causes in his 88th year. He was the husband of Mary E. (Kreider) Denlinger for over 60 years.
He was an over-the-road truck driver. Wilmer worked for Branch Motor Express, Marty’s Motor Express and retired from Yellow Freight.
Wilmer served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was honorably discharged in 1954.
He was a member of Smithville Church of God, where he served on the church council and taught Sunday School.
Born in Lancaster County, he was the son of the late Elvin and Elva (Hufford) Denlinger. In addition to Mary, he is survived a daughter, Debra married to Vaughn Mark of Mount Joy; a son Rodney married to Kim (Murray) Denlinger of Lancaster; six grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his siblings, Arlene Martin, Lester and Richard Denlinger.
There will be a visitation on Thursday, March 29, 2018 from 10:00 until 11:00 AM in the Smithville Church of God, 595 Pennsy Road, New Providence, PA. The funeral is 11:00 AM in the church with Pastor Richard Miller officiating. Interment will be in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery.
