Wilfredo Jusino-Marrero, 87

August 22, 2019

Wilfredo Jusino-Marrero, 87, of Mount Joy, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019 at Lancaster General Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Born in Morovis, Puerto Rico, he was the son of the late Ismael Jusino and Adela (Marrero) Jusino. He was the loving husband to Surama (Rivera) Jusino. They recently celebrated their 61st wedding anniversary earlier this month.

Wilfredo was a proud veteran of the US Navy, where he served as a Fire Fighter. He spent most of his life in New York City as a school bus driver. He had a passion for politics and would love to hold conversations and debates regarding his political views. As an avid gun collector, he enjoyed hunting and attending gun shows. Wilfredo also enjoyed watching classic movies. He also enjoyed reminiscing about his Navy days with his family. Most of all he cherished spending time with his family. His outspoken and honest nature will be missed by all.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children: Adele Nieves of Bronx, NY, Anna Jusino of Lancaster, Wilfred Jusino (Almarene Jusino) of New Windsor, NY and Surama Jusino (Carlton Bagby) of Morton, PA; his 7 Grandchildren: Jessica Flores, Emilio J. Nieves, Kristina Santiago, Jennifer Santiago, Alexis Mendoza, Daniel T. Jusino and Rebecca L. Jusino; his 6 Great-Grandchildren: Brandon Maldonado, Breanna Maldonado, Stephen Hernandez, Ty’Liyah “LJ” Santiago Laster, My’heir Lozano and Emme Rose Nieves.

Interment will be private at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, www.stjude.org, where Wilfredo was a committed donor. Arrangements entrusted to Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. 717-393-9661
