September 17, 2017

Walter L. “Troop” Rosbach, 80, of Manheim, PA, passed away on Sunday, September 17, 2017 in Elizabethtown.
Born in Estella, Sullivan County, PA, he was the son of the late Hartford L. and Edna G. Weaver Rosbach.
Troop had worked for over 35 years for the Raymark Company as a mixer.
A US Army veteran, he was proud of his service with the 101st Screaming Eagles Airborne, serving from 1959 to 1962 as a Specialist 5th Class. He made his last jump at the age of 74.
Troop loved to ride his Harley-Davidson, doing so up until a year ago. He was a member of the Sons of Satan, MC for 44 years and participated in memorial rides and benefit rides, including the annual Frosty Balls and Frozen Suzies, which directly benefits the Lebanon VA Medical Center.
He was a member of the Germania Band Club of Manheim, the Elstonville Sportsmen’s Assn, the Del-Ches Fishing Assn, and a lifetime member of the Lititz American Legion Post 56. He was an avid fisherman and hunter and loved to spend time with his grandchildren.
Troop is survived by his daughters: Christal L. Rosbach of Manheim and Theresa L. Rosbach of Elizabethtown; his 6 grandchildren: Aiyana, Gavin, Olivia, Sophia, Nika, and Kayla; his sisters: Esther Rubia of Manheim and Alberta Pensinger of Shippensburg; a niece Dianna Rubia and 2 nephews Barry Rubia and Mike Rosbach. He is also survived by his ex-wife, close friend, and mother of his children, Doris Kline, of Lititz.
Friends will be received on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA from 10-11AM, with the Memorial Service to follow at 11AM. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Walter’s memory to the Lebanon Veterans Administration Medical Center, Voluntary Service (10V), 1700 South Lincoln Ave., Lebanon, PA 17042.

Hi, Walter’s dad and my grandfather Rex were brothers. I am sorry for your loss. My mother spoke of Walter when we talked of The Rosbachs. She also passed this year at 89. She was married to Louis. Again, I am sorry for your loss and thank your dad for his service.

Walter was a good person who served his country, worked hard, loved his family, and enjoyed life. He is my first cousin and I send my prayers and sympathy to Alberta and Esther. I am very appreciative that Walter and Esther were very kind to my mother, Helen Rosbach, visting her often right up to the time she died  I am sorry that I could not be at his memorial sevice but I didn’t know of his passing until it was over.
