Vivian Rose Hampton, 79
Vivian Rose Hampton, 79, of Delaware, died Sunday Oct. 22, 2006 after a brief illness at the home of her son.
Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Ross B. and Helen E. Livingston Witmer. She was the wife of the late Jack R. Hampton.
Mrs. Hampton was a 1945 graduate of McCaskey High School. She and her husband were part owners of Liberty Craftsmen, Inc. of Lancaster. She enjoyed traveling, cruises, playing cards, and bowled for 34 years. She was a past member of Millersville Women’s Club and most recently of CHEERS Senior Center. She was a member of Christ Lutheran Church, Lancaster. she and her husband moved to the beach in 1996.
Surviving her is her son, Bruce E., married to Linda Hampton of Millersville, 2 grandchildren, Chad E. Hampton, fiancé of Maureen Grady of Ocean City, MD, and Lauren M., married to John N. Stauffer of Mountville, and her great granddaughter, Adeline Rose Hampton of Ocean City. She is also survived by her brother, Wayne W. Witmer of Lancaster and nephews, Craig and Brian Witmer.
Funeral Services will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, on Friday, October, 27, 2006 at 11AM. Interment in Laurel Hill Cemetery, Columbia. Friends may be received on Thursday from 7-9 at the funeral home and again on Friday from 10 until the time of service.
