Virginia E. Bearley, 80

Virginia E. Bearley, 80, of Lancaster, went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 20, 2006 at the Essa Flory Hospice Center after a brief illness.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Albert and Grace Bezzard Bennett.  She was the wife of John F. Bearley.  They celebrated 60 years of marriage in February.

A homemaker, she previously worked during the 1940’s as a time setter at Hamilton Watch and in the cafeteria at Millersville University in the 1970’s.

Virginia graduated J.P. McCaskey High School in 1944 and attended Calvary Church. She enjoyed reading, walking in the woods, and going to the shore with her husband.  She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.

She is survived by two daughters, Gail L. married to Abel Rios Jr. of Hellam, and Sheila married to Jay Sanders of Media; 9 grandchildren; 10 great grandchildren; a step-son, Jackie Myers husband of Bobbie of Towsend, DE; sister, Betty Hadden of Quarryville; and a brother, Ralph Bennett of Lancaster.

The funeral service will be held privately.
