Hello Esther,

This is not my preferred way to say hello after some years. Dottie and I enjoyed the meetings with you and Vince here in Port Charlotte, Fl. We had planned for another dinner and host you this time.  Should you pass through our area, keep us on your contact list.

John & Dottie Derr

Dear Esther,

Roz and I were very saddened to hear of Vince’s untimely passing.  I regret that I haven’t seen hm or you in several years, but have fond memories of our serving together in NavShips and Groton, not to mention how fortunate I was to relieve Vince at SupShipNNews.

Please accept our deepest sympathy and our hope that you are doing as well as can be expected at this most difficult time.

With sincere regrets and sympathy,
Mal and Roz

Dear Toni & family

Dear Esther, Vince was one of the neatest of classmates. Great ‘warmth’ and sincerity. Wish we had met earlier in life . Resuming contact with the class of ’52 was one of the best moves I ever made— meeting Vince again– his smile never changed– was a big benefit. Add me to the long list of those who appreciated his "EASY". There is no doubt that his new journey will be even more successful.  It was a  privilege to know him.

Bob Courtney

My heart-felt condolences to the family in your loss.  I was privileged to be an invited guest to the Panera Navy Group and to meet Vince.  He was a true gentleman, patriot and father.  I feel honored to have known him.  May God strengthen you for the days ahead.

Dear Esther, I was so sorry to read of Vince’s death.  My memories of you and Vince are full of good times and laughter.  He will be remembered by us all for his slow grin and hearty laugh.  Keep in your heart the many people whose lives he touched.  How lucky to leave such a legacy.  My prayers are with you and your family – he will be missed.
God’s grace be with you,
Jane Hicks

To Ester and her wonderful family,

Nick and I will miss seeing his smiling face and generous personality. As
Nick said, he was a wonderful asset to the class and we were blessed to have known him.  Our sympathies to all the Manara family and as we say in the Orthodox faith, May his memory be eternal.  May the wonderful memories comfort you at this time.
