In the few months that we had the honor of practicing before the Honorable Judge Long, it was obvious to us that he was the perfect man for the job.  Judge Long was fair, compassionate, and went out of his way work with us to help settle our clients’ differences.  We had very much looked forward to him returning to the bench.  He will certainly be missed.   Wendy Chan

Dear Long Family,
I was so sorry to hear of Shawn’s passing. I had the pleasure of working with him back in the 90’s at the York Co. Youth Development Center. I always remembered him for his hard working, goal driven, funny personality. Ran into Shawn at the Pretzel Hut a few years ago, and he was still the same pleasant guy I remembered……….his success had not gone to his head. We shared a few laughs from the “old days”. It’s devistating to so many but especially immediate family and close friends. I knew him because I was the little girl down the street on Oxford Drive in Lititz. He was always “the nice boy”. Others, well, not so much. Shawn and Jess reconnected with me over Facebook and we reunited in person a couple of years ago and all went to dinner. Jess and I shared an instant connection through our faith and experience with cancer. Her mother had it, I had it and Shawn did. I love you, Jess. And I’m will stay in prayer for you for a long tine.
