Teresa L. Long, 90
Teresa L. Long, 90, formerly of 2511 Chestnut View Drive, Lancaster, was peacefully called to be with our Heavenly Father on Monday, December 6, 2010 at Landis Homes surrounded by her loving family. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Francesco and Catherine Maria (Baberi) Iemmallo. Teresa was the wife of the late Harry F. Long who died December 31, 2009.
Teresa was a graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School class of 1938. She was employed by Fulton Bank Mountville Branch as a Teller until her retirement in 1985. Teresa was a “people person” who enjoyed working with the public. She also enjoyed traveling.
Teresa was an Angel sent from Heaven, a devout Catholic, she brought a ray of light to all she encountered. A loving wife mother, grandmother, she was a child of God who will forever remain in the hearts of those who had the opportunity to be blessed with her presence.
Teresa is survived by a daughter, Stephanie McBride wife of Stephen of Lancaster. A grandson, Michael H. McBride of Lancaster, and a great grandson, Stephen J. Jones.
She was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Michelle A. Jones. 3 sisters; Rose Amico, Mary Anna Lombardo, and Mary Jane Richards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, December 9, 2010 at St. Leo the Great Catholic Church 2427 Marietta Ave. Lancaster 17601 at 11 a.m. with Rev. Antony Raja as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received at the Church before the service from 10-11 a.m. Interment will be Friday, December 10, 2010 at Ft. Indiantown Gap National Cemetery at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital PO Box 1893Memphis, TN 38101-9950. We were very sorry to hear about Teresa. We have known her for a long time and we always enjoyed her visits in our office with her pets.
She was always very pleasant to talk with.
We know how much she will be missed by her family and friends.
