Stephen Quinn, 50

December 14, 2017

Stephen Quinn, 50, of Lancaster, PA, passed away unexpectedly on December 14, 2017 at Lancaster General Hospital. Born in Pittsburgh, he was the son of William & Victoria (Navari) Quinn. Steve was the loving husband of Kelly Renee (Goodreau) Quinn; cherished father of Alison, Nicholas & Benjamin Quinn; and brother to Shauna Muller & Ward Quinn.
He was a 1985 graduate of Lancaster Catholic High School and a 1990 graduate of Penn State University, where he was a member of a fraternity. Steve was a facilities manager for Traditions of America and he enjoyed working with his hands, always having several building projects ongoing. During high school, Steve was an accomplished wrestler and football player. This love for sports continued throughout his life, as he was very involved in his children’s soccer and wrestling teams. Most importantly, Steve loved his family and took great care of his parents, wife and children.
Steve was always willing to help others, and his family is very proud that he was an organ donor because, even now, he is helping two children and likely many more.
Friends will be received from 4-7 PM on Monday, December 18, 2017 at the Charles F. Snyder, Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543. A Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11 AM on Tuesday, December 19, 2017 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church, 601 E. Delp Rd, Lancaster, PA 17601, with Rev. Dan Powell as Celebrant. Steve will be laid to rest at St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Stephen Quinn Memorial Fund at any BB&T branch, care of Kelly Quinn. Please note the Stephen Quinn Memorial Fund in the memo line.

My wife and I knew Steve through his employment at Traditions of America. He did some repairs for us in a thoroughly professional manner. He was easy to chat with and I enjoyed talking with him about our mutual admiration of the Pittsburgh Steelers. Please accept our deepest sympathy for your loss.

I am a Traditions of America resident who had the pleasure of having Steve do some repairs in my home.  His work ethic was super and his talents top notch.  He couldn’t do enough for you.  He often spoke of his children.  It was clearly evident how proud he was of them and how much he loved his family.  He is truly missed.  God bless you all.  — Darlene Witt

We were so shocked and saddened when we heard about Steve.  We live at Traditions and Steve was absolutely the nicest guy and best worker we’d ever dealt with.  He was personable and had a terrific work ethic.  He and my husband loved chatting about Penn State sports while he worked.  We are deeply sorry for your loss.    Michele & Perry Stiefel
