Selma Matlin, 94

Selma Matlin, 94, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Monday, December 3, 2012 at her residence.

She was the wife of the late Paul Matlin, who passed away in 1999. Born in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late Isadore and Frances Stager Mansbach.

Selma had been a bookkeeper for various businesses in the New York City area for many years. After getting married, she was a homemaker.

She was very proud of her Jewish faith, visiting Israel with her husband Paul.

A talented violinist, Selma had played at Carnegie Hall in New York in her younger years. She appreciated all styles of music, but she especially enjoyed classical music. Her biggest joy was her family which was the centerpiece of her life.

She is survived by her loving children: Dr. Robert married to Michele Matlin with whom she resided in Lancaster, and Vicki married to Mark Greenman of Great Neck NY; her 4 grandchildren Stacy married to Matthew McCormick, Jamie married to Don Beaulieu, Blake married to Sha Dinour, and Lindsay Greenman; her 7 great grandchildren Aidan, Cera, Rory, Delaney, Elle, Sivan, and Caleb, and by numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held in Great Neck, New York on December 5, 2012. Shiva will be observed at Selma’s residence at 1171 Country Club Drive, Lancaster, PA on Saturday, Dec. 8^th at 5:30PM, Sunday Dec. 9^th at 7PM and Monday, Dec. 10^th at 7PM.
