Ronald F. Vitale, 69

Ronald F. Vitale, 69, of Lancaster, PA, entered into rest on Tuesday, February 28, 2012 at Lancaster General Hospital, surrounded by his loving family.

He was the husband of Rae A. (Shay) Vitale. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Frank C. and Angeline ( Madonna) Vitale.

Before retiring in 1997, Ronald had worked for Skyline Distributors of Lancaster, PA for 10 years. He had also formerly worked for the Schick Corporation for 15 years.

What he enjoyed most in his life was spending time with his family and his friends. He also enjoyed gun collecting and target shooting, and playing shuffleboard. He had been a member of the Green Hill Sportsmen’s Assn.

In addition to his wife Rae, he is survived by his 4 children: Lynne R. Vitale of Lancaster, Barbara A. Vitale of Lancaster, Tina L. Vitale of Lititz, and Blake A. Singleton of Lancaster; his 6 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren. Ronald was preceded in death by his brother, James Vitale.

Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Ronald’s memory to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 501 E. Ronald was one of the nicest most genuine people I have ever met. We were friends back at St Anthony’s elementary school. I’m sure he is greatly missed. Rest in peace Ronald and have a great time wherever you may be.
