Ronald E. Coldren, Jr, 54

Ronald E. Coldren, Jr., 54, of Lititz, died unexpectedly Wednesday, September 17, 2014, at the Heart of Lancaster Regional Medical Center. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of June M. Eckman Coldren, with whom he lived, and the late Ronald E. Coldren, Sr.

Ronald graduated from Warwick High School in 1979, and he worked for Calder Manufacturing for 10 years and then Grinnell in Columbia for 16 years. He was a member of Lancaster Moose Lodge 299, where he enjoyed playing shuffleboard and shuffle alley. He was an avid golf, Phillies and Eagles fan.

In addition to his mother June, Ronald is survived by his sisters Lynetta S., wife of James A. Flack of Lancaster and Brenda L., wife of Dennis Foultz of Cincinnati, OH, and his brother Barry M. Coldren, fiancé of Peggy Coulter of Lititz. Ronald was preceded in death by his father Ronald E. Coldren, Sr. and his sister Nancy J. Fisher.

A Memorial Service will be held 2 PM Tuesday, September 23, 2014, at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home & Crematory, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, PA 17602. Ronald’s family will greet friends 1 to 2 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. Following the interment a luncheon will be held at Calvary Baptist Church, 530 Milton Rd., Lancaster, PA 17602. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603.

     I am so sorry to hear about your son, Ron.  I think I met him a couple of times when you and I worked at Olde Hickory together.  I don’t remember much about him, though.  MY deepest sympathy goes out to you and your family.

R.I.P. Ron you will be missed by a lot of people. I have known you since your Dad was at the Forresters.  You were also Santa at the Lancaster Moose Lodge #299.  Your playing on the Shuffleboard team will be missed.  I remember you playing Shuffle Alley.
