Roger C. St. Germain, Jr., 97

Roger Charles St. Germain of Brookdale Grayson View in Selinsgrove, PA, and formerly Lancaster and Carlisle, died May 5, 2019 at the age of 97. He was born to the late Roger St. Germain, Sr. and Hazel Bell St. Germain in Toronto, Ontario in the year 1921.

He was a veteran of World War II, serving as a fighter pilot with 55th Fighter Group, 8th Air Force, in England.

He was a graduate of Purdue University and a registered architect and professional engineer. He retired as a staff architect from Armstrong World Industries in 1982.
He was a member of Westminster Presbyterian Church, Lancaster, PA. There he served as an Elder, a Sunday school teacher, and sang in the choir.
He was married to Elizabeth Jean “Betty” Dale for 67 years. She preceded him in death in 2012.

He is survived by daughter Susan Aument (Ralph) of Selinsgrove, daughter Nancy Eason (Bill) of Nashville, TN, and a son Charles of Portland, ME. He is also survived by a sister, Esther Nastoff of Woodlands, TX, four grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be Monday, May 13, 2019 at Westminster Presbyterian Church located at 2151 Oregon Pike, Lancaster, PA 17601. Visitation will be held from 10:00 to 11:00am with the Service starting at 11:00am. Burial services will follow at Westminster Presbyterian Church Cemetery with full military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Roger’s memory at the Wounded Warrior Project 600 River Ave Suite 900, Pittsburgh, PA 15212, or to Westminster Presbyterian Church at the address above.

Nancy, Sue, and Charlie;  I am sorry to read your Dad’s obituary in the Carlisle ‘Sentinel’.  I trust your good memories of your Dad will help carry you through this loss – I certainly remember Franklin Street and meeting him for the first time.
