Robert L. Ferguson, 69

Robert L. Ferguson Sr., 69, of Lancaster, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at his residence.

Born in Hannibal, Missouri, he was the son of the late William H. and Mary Frances Ferguson.  He was the husband of Joanne L. Fry Ferguson for 35 years.

A machinist, he worked for NTN-BCA.  He served in the US Army during the Korean War.  His interests included reading, traveling, and the Civil War.  He enjoyed boating activities and fast pitch softball.

Surviving along with his wife are daughters, Barbara Lynn wife of Richard Kurtz of Lancaster; Frances Lea wife of Brad Strubel of Drumore; son, Robert L. Ferguson Jr. of Lancaster; step daughters, Sandra J. Fry of Lititz; Patricia S. Clow of Maytown; step son, Timothy G. husband of Rhoda Fry of Manheim; eleven grandchildren; and a brother, James H. husband of Florence Clayton of Kansas City, MO.

A memorial service will be held at the Hempfield Brethren in Christ Church, 2600 Marietta Pike., Lancaster, PA on Saturday, January 21, 2006 at 11AM.  Friends will be received at the church on Saturday from 10AM until the time of service.  In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in his memory to the Hospice of Lancaster County, 685 Good Dr., Box 4125, Lancaster, PA 17604-4125.  Arrangements by the Charles F.
