As well as nine grandchildren, Melanie, Mark, Thomas, John, Joseph, Michael, Caitlin, Jason and Mason and three great grandchildren Michela, Avila and Zayden.

Bob then joined the Post Office in Philadelphia before becoming Postmaster in West Grove, Pennsylvania. As a member of Assumption BVM Parish, he participated in many, parish and school activities, which included being a lector and usher for the church, calling bingo, coaching the girl’s basketball team, umpiring youth baseball and refereeing youth basketball games. He also loved fitness activities and running on the Avon Grove High School track was a passion for him.

Bob continued his career and home life onto Lancaster Pennsylvania, where he later retired as Manager of Customer Services for the Post Office. Bob was not done with his volunteer work, as he focused on the local Lancaster schools and parishes. He loved sports, so in his retirement he coached softball and basketball at Country Day School. He volunteered with Hospice as a visitor and worked with special needs children at the Doe Run Elementary school, a job he dearly loved. He was a member of St. John Neumann’s Catholic Church; as a former member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church, he taught Sunday School, was a lector at mass and participated in various parish activities.

A celebration of Bob’s life will be planned and held at a later date.

My sympathy and prayers go out to your entire family during this difficult time.  I didn’t realize he had made the move to Lancaster County from West Grove.  I pray for your peace while you remember all the wonderful things about his life that have influenced your own.  Your loss is heaven’s gain.  Fondly,Teresa (Marvin) Beever

My sympathy to all members of “Mr. Bob’s” family. I was one of the teachers at Doe Run who was blessed by Bob’s volunteering. He and Mr. Jim came to our room occasionally as most volunteers did. He was so attentive to each of our students and of course to the staff’s requests.  As time went by he and Mr. Jim came daily. We all looked forward to the volunteer time as he enriched all of us. When our I.U. asked for volunteer names of those who should be recognized another teacher and I immediately submitted his name with numerous reasons why he should receive an award. He so deservedly did receive it. At our annual awards banquet, Missy and I were thrilled to share with many members of our I.U. Why he was such a treasured volunteer. I hope memories of him will be of comfort to each of you. I’ll always remember the kind, caring, and fun times he shared with our students and staff at Doe Run.

Betty, my heart aches with yours. I had the pleasure of meeting you and Bob during his stay at Pleasant View. I was the activities girl on that floor. You and Bob made an impression on my heart, and I’ve often thought of you and hoped you were well. May the life you built together and all the happy times you shared be a comfort to you. Warmly, Dottie Boyd, Recreation Therapy at Pleasant View Communities

Queppet Family,   Our condolences on the passing of Mr. Queppet. A wonderful man with a big smile that would greet you when you walked into the post office. He came to West Grove in the good ole days when everyone knew everyone. Your family will all get through the time of sorrow reminiscing over the memories that you have made over the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this sad time.                                                                   Nikki & Ron

Mrs. Queppet  and the Family,  Very sorry hearing of your fathers passing. A wonderful man. Like Mr. Ruffini who passed away during the year. Your Dad came to West Grove not to live but to make it a better place to live and that he did. My memories of your Dad were always good. He took time to help me when he was umpiring our LL baseball games, he ref games when playing CYO basketball. And then in the post office he was there when we had questions.  I think his last last week in West Grove I was walking to the bus stop and he stop and gave me a ride to school, We just talked about the years and growing up. A really good man. I was lucky to see him couple times when he moved away. Up in Park City Mall and when Bob had him up to see Melanie playing basketball. He always had time to talk and way glad to see me. It’s a sad time losing your Dad but your memories will help you thru these passing days. I was told by a priest that death is not the end but the beginning of memories that you will share with each other. Our prayers are with you and the family. Be at peace knowing Dad is in heaven today.

To Kenny, Bob, Dave and the entire Quepett Family. I remember when the Queppet Family came to West Grove and attended ABVM Church, Bob was always decked out in a coat and tie. What a life well lived. He was a real asset to the community and along with Betty raised a wonder bunch of children. Please accept our payers and well wishes at this sad time and know we are thinking of you all and remembering Bob and those early days in West Grove fondly.
God Bless,
Russ and Kathy
