I know I will always remember his fascination with learning.  We had chatted last summer about "Cicada Killers" – he saw these huge bees and wondered what they were.  I was telling him about them and he was just so fascinated and was Googling them, he couldn’t get enough.
He always came into the family room and talked to us when he would come for Craig. 
We felt so special when he brought Isabella to meet us after she was born.  We all held her, what a thrill! So many good memories of Richie.  We will miss him and his sweet smile.  He was a wonderful young man.

Dearest Rebecca and Mike,
Our hearts ache for you and Know too well the difficult journey that faces you in the days ahead. The pain never ends and changes you forever, so you will need to  dig DEEP to find the strength to go on. Everyone grieves differently, so don’t let anyone tell you what is right for you or how you must deal with your unending sorrow. Everyone says that "they can’t imagine the pain’ and it is true that they can’t. Try to forgive others when they don’t know what to say or do. This is a burden only you can carry so I pray that you turn towards one another and that you ask God for strength and peace. Many people reference God during times like this, but it is true that our relationship with him is the only thing that saved our lives.We are open to meeting with you or just quietly being with you if we can be of any support to you.

He was quiet but kind and always had twinkle in his eye and a wonderful, impish grin that made you smile. May you hold onto the wonderful memories of him.
