Mrs. Bender,

I am Naomi Hostetter Sensenig, daughter of Daniel and Rhoda Hostetter, who passed away in 2010.  I know if my father and mother were alive and able they would have sent you a sympathy card promptly.  Dad appreciated you as a former classmate and friend.  Please accept my condolences in his and mother’s behalf as you mourn the loss of your husband.  May God comfort you in these days.

Dear Dot,

When your Christmas card was returned "undeliverable," I went online to see if I could find your new address and then saw that your husband passed away this month.  Dot, I am so very sorry for your loss.

I will try to find your current address, so I know how to contact you in the future.  I wanted to tell you that my Mother, Anna Metzger, also passed away (back on August 22 of 2011).  She was 89, three months shy of 90.

This will be a sad Christmas for both of us, and please know my prayers will be with you and your family.

Love,

Judy Kaufman (and Jim, too!)
(daughter of Anna Metzger from Armstrong)
