Raymond M. “Michael” Lyon, 54
January 02, 2019
Raymond M. “Michael” Lyon, 54, of Lancaster passed away at his home on January 2, 2019. Born in Ridley Park, he was the son of Raymond Lyon and Kathleen (Brownlee) Stumpf.
Michael was smart and artistic. From a young age, it was clear through his curious nature, wild imagination, and unending creativity that Michael walked to the beat of his own drum. A music lover, Michael collected all sorts of instruments and practiced playing guitar and keyboard. He was also incredibly interested in horticulture. From a young age, Michael would walk the woods with his mother picking herbs and finding saplings to plant for his neighbors. He enjoyed walking everywhere and would point out the different plant species to those who joined him. He also had an interest in politics that took him on spontaneous trips to cities for rallies. Most of all, Michael loved his family; including his mother, who was his rock, and his three boys, all of whom he is extremely proud.
Surviving are Michael’s sons; Travis Cleaver (Molly), Allen Markes Lyon (Brianna), and John Paul Markes, and his granddaughter Sylvia Cleaver. He is also survived by his mother, Kathleen Stumpf (Donald), father, Raymond Lyon, and sister, Donna Pincin (Ronald). He is preceded in death by his grandmother Rose Marie Brownlee and his grandfather Albert Brownlee, who he looked up to immensely.
Services will be private and at the convenience of the family.
