Raymond Lee Allmond, 75

January 17, 2023

Raymond Lee Allmond Sr, 75, of Drumore, passed away Tuesday, January 17, 2023, with his loving family by his side. Born in Philadelphia to the late Eforest Temple and Mary Theresa (Stine) Allmond, Rick was proud of his Native American heritage, a descendant of the Mattaponi Tribe. Rick was the loving husband of Linda J. (Hewitt) Allmond, with whom he recently celebrated 56 years of marriage.

Rick proudly served in the US Army during the Vietnam War era. Following his honorable discharge, he went to work as a yacht builder for Trojan Yacht Company, where he worked for more than 30 years. Following his retirement from Trojan, he continued to work as a general contractor.

An artistic man, Rick crafted his own furniture and designed and built a beautiful koi pond and waterfall in his back yard. His family remembers him fondly as a “MacGyver”, a man who could do anything. Rick also enjoyed boating, model railroading, and especially enjoyed his many trips to Disney World and loved introducing family members to the magical kingdom. Rick found his greatest love in his family, especially his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Rick will be greatly missed by his loving wife, Linda; his children: Raymond Allmond, Jr., Bryon Allmond, and Deborah Allmond-Morales, wife of Abdon; his 5 grandchildren: Raymond Allmond III, Zachary Rineer, Kiana Allmond, Nicholas Allmond, and Carlito Morales; his great-grandchildren: Roczen Rineer Salgado, Lujan Diaz Salgado, Haylie Diaz Salgado and David Diaz Salgado; and four siblings. He was preceded in death by his son, Paul Allmond and 2 siblings.

A memorial service will be determined at a later date.

Aunt Linda, Debbie, Ricky, Bryan,
My payers are with you. Uncle Rick was my favorite uncle. With SO Many great memories he has given us, he will be greatly missed. I will miss his great knowledge and experience he had passed on not only to myself, but to everyone who knew him.
It was great to always see him and spend great times, laughs, and many adventures.
Uncle Rick had a good heart and always helped everyone. He cared about people and was a very hard worker. I will miss the family trips and watching Uncle Rick and my Father joke with each other. Too funny… And his famous sayings ..”Sing me that song Rueshkrimer”. Beam me up Scotty, Why don’t you make up my mind..Did you try?.
He was so logical in all actions and was very meticulous in everything he did. Mcgiver is and understatement. Never knew anyone who could think outside the box as he did. He could take a paperclip, D battery and speaker wire and weld steel!
Uncle Rick say hello to Dad.
Love you always
Billy
