Ray F. Elliott, 83
Ray F. Elliott, 83, of Tampa, FL and formerly of Lancaster, passed away on Thursday, November 13th.
He was the husband of Veronica T. Reynolds Elliott, with whom he celebrated 61 years of marriage this past September 25th. Born in Lancaster, Ray was the son of the late Ray and Mary Diller Elliott.
He was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, and was a member of the American Legion in Tampa.
A US Navy veteran of World War II, he served as Seaman First Class in the Pacific Theater.
In addition to his wife, Ray is survived by his daughter Kathleen married to Steve Ayers of Brandon, FL; his 3 sons, all of Tampa, FL: Ray A., Leonard F., and Daniel C; and his 3 grandsons: Patrick, Phillip, and Gregory. He was preceded in death by his sisters, Georgina Flick and Carolyn Myers.
Friends will be received on Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 119 S. Prince St., Lancaster, PA from 10-1030AM, with the Memorial Mass to follow at 10:30AM, the Rev. Leo Goodman as Celebrant. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in his memory to the American Heart Assn., 610 Community Way, Lancaster, PA 17603. I am sorry for your loss. The little time I spent with you father, it was most enjoyable (Webster, FL). I think about you often, Kathleen as well as Ray and Lenny. Please know you are in my thoughts and in my prayers.
