Ralph A. Shenk, 60
Ralph A. Shenk, 60, of Lancaster, PA, passed away on Friday at Lancaster General Hospital.
He was the husband of Donna K. Ryner Shenk, with who he celebrated 25years of marriage this past November 30th. Born in Lancaster, he was the son of Betty J. Helfer Shenk of Lancaster, and the late Ralph B. Shenk.
Ralph had worked as a baker for Giant Foods in Lancaster for 28 years.
He was a member of the Hubley Social Club, the Rainmakers Assn., American Legion Post 34, VFW Post 1463 of Lititz, the AmVets Post 19 of Lancaster, and the Millcreek Sportsmans Assn. Ralph also liked to play poker, and was a big Elvis Presley fan.
Ralph was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War, serving in Vietnam at an Specialist 4th Class.
In addition to his wife and mother, he is survived by 2 sons: Scott Shenk of Lancaster, and Rick Horst of New Holland; a daughter Kimberly, married to Tracey Frey of Ephrata, 7 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He is also survived by 2 sisters, Sandra L. Shenk of Lancaster, and Judith, married to Ronald Snyder of New Providence. He was preceded in death by a brother, James L. Shenk.
Friends will be received on Wednesday from 630PM-7PM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home and Chapel, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz PA, with the memorial service to follow at 7PM.
