Pauline Sener Webb, 91

Pauline Sener Webb, 91, passed away on Saturday, October 29, 2011 after a brief illness at St. Anne’s Retirement Community, where she was a resident for 13 months.

Born on December 14, 1919, she was the daughter of the late Winfield Scott Kraft and Katie E. Wendel Kraft. She was predeceased by her brother, Peter Wendel, and by her sisters Margaret Beck, Theresa Houser, Beatrice Faulkner, and Catherine Walton.

Her working years were spend primarily in retailing, first with Hager Bros. in the Better Dress Dept. and also as a buyer of wedding attire. She later retired from Gimbels in Park City.

Pauline was the devoted and loving wife of Charles E. Sener for 46 years and whom she never ceased to miss. She was also the widow of Harold T. Webb.

Her daughter, Carol Ann, wife of Gordon Snyder of Lancaster survives her.

Pauline was a former member of the Twalkers of Park City and St. Philip’s Guys and Dolls. She was a member of St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church.

The family would like to thank the staff of St. Anne’s for the superb care and love that was given to her during her stay and recent illness. Hospice of Lancaster County was especially appreciated in their support and care of Pauline and her family.

Friends will be received on Friday, November 4, 2011 from 10-11AM at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church, 2111 Millersville Pike, Lancaster, PA 17603, with the Mass of Christian Burial to follow at 11AM, the Rev Mark Weiss as Celebrant. Interment in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Per the family’s request, please do not send flowers. I was sad to read your mother’s obituary in the paper today. She was a great lady and a superb saleslady!!  I was the manager of the dress department at Gimbles all those many years ago. We all enjoyed working with her.
