Your dad and my dad Johnny Funkhouser were best friends growing up in Toms Brook and they stayed friends the rest of their lives. Dad had broken his hip in 2010 and was having a tough time in rehab and I thought it might be a good time to talk to an old friend. I called your Dad and they talked for about half an hour and his spirits were raised as only a talk with a childhood friend can do.

Since my mom and Dad  have passed I’ve talked to your dad several times and always amazed at his humor and zest for life. My condolences for your loss  I’m sure he was well received at the gates with a Job well done my good and faithful servant   My number is 304-676-7710 Give me call if you gat a chance

Dear Tracy, Chris and family,
I am so sad to learn of your Dad’s death. I worked for him at SNH when I was newly married and moved to PA with my husband. We stayed in touch over the years and visited with him whenever we were in the Lancaster area.  He always kept me updated on the local happenings and was so tickled to share pictures of you and your children…and the newest little member.  He insisted on taking Gary and me to lunch when we were there last summer…We went to his favorite spot where his breakfast club met😊.
He was like a father to me especially when I was quite homesick.  We had lots of laughs and good conversation.  I treasure his friendship and will miss him dearly.
I am so sorry for your loss.

To Paul’s family,
Don’t know where to begin.  My husband LLoyd worked with Paul at New Holland. That was my introduction to this unique man.  He got my daughter 1980 World Series tickets, My grandson was always greeted with love and teasing at the many breakfasts he went to with my husband.  I am from Northern pennsylvania and he always had to say something about that as he had visited the area.  He will be remembered in so many ways.  It was a pleasure to have known Paul.

To all of Pauls family,
I was sorry to see of Pauls passing.  He was such a character .  He would come into my business and talk about life .  He reminded me of my grandfather . All of us looked forward  to his visit .He had some stories to tell!  He spoke of his special family alot and was very proud of all you.   I would see him at the local Mcdonalds with his friends ,  He would always give me words of encouragement. He will be sadly missed.
He was a Great Man.
Thank you for sharing him with all of us. I wasn’t sure if he knew I retired.
