To Paul’s Family,
My sincere condolences to each of you on your loss.
I only knew Smitty for the last several years, having been introduced to him on the golf course by Merle Farmer. He was always a fun guy to play a round with and nicknamed me Mr. Boring because of my fairway hits.  That name has stuck even when I play with others. Paul always made you feel welcome and we always had a good time, even if he did have to stop at every trash receptacle to collect the tabs from the cans inside.
I’ll miss playing golf with him.  Please know that my thoughts and prayers are with you at this time.

Dear Deb and family members,
We are writing to express our deepest sympathy to you upon receiving news of Paul’s sudden and untimely death. We pray for your comfort and God’s blessing in the days that follow. Paul was a wonderful friend and tireless community servant.  He will be sorely missed by the Willow Street Lions Club as well as the members of the Slumbering Groundhog Lodge. Although I have only know Paul for approximately 8 years, he was a wonderful person and really loved his family.  Our Prayers are with you in this time of bereavement.

Dear Deb, and Kelly and Kyle,
Please know that Allan and I are praying for you and your families. We are so sad to hear of Paul’s passing. We both have many, many fond memories of Paul’s enthusiasm and friendship at church. Paul was so encouraging to Allan and the music. For me, each time I enter Costco, I still smile and remember how Paul showed me around when we were shopping for the church chicken BBQ. He gave me the grand tour! I will also always remember a certain chocolate cake you shared with me. There are many stories, many wonderful memories that bring smiles and now also bring tears.
Our hearts are broken with you and for you.
With much love,
Jane and Allan

Paul and I met at Willow Street UCC 31 years ago, where we were both members. He was not only a good friend, but we both knew each other as partner because of the amount of time we spent together on the golf course. I will miss him terribly and think of him every time I step on to the first tee, but my mind will quickly turn to the laughter and fun we enjoyed in every match we played. To his life partner Deb and family, know that you will be in our prayers, may our God and Savior Lord Jesus comfort each one of you in your time of loss and grief.
Love to all,
Les and Janet Clark

The loss of a loved one is a very sad and heavy load to bare. May you find comfort at John 5:28, 29 ” Do not be amazed at this, for the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice and come out.” That will be a wonderful day to see our loved ones again.
