Park J. Wiker, 92
Park J. Wiker, 92, of Jupiter FL and formerly of Lancaster, went to be with his Lord on Saturday, January 15, 2011 in Jupiter. He was the husband of the late Ethel Dettinger Wiker who died in 2007.
Born in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Park and Lillian Musser Wiker. Park first worked as a tool and die maker and then was an engineering technician for RCA in Lancaster. Park and Ethel owned the Deutsch Landschaft Camping Ground in Gap. Very faithful to his Lord, Park had been a longtime member of New Life Assembly of God in Lancaster, where served on the building committee. Always active, he enjoyed motorcycling and doing handyman work.
Park is survived by seven children, Park H., husband of Kathleen Wiker, Lititz, Roger W., husband of Donna L. Wiker, Cornelius, NC, Albert J., husband of Joan Wiker, Punta Gorda, FL, David E. Wiker, St. Paul, MN, Scott K., husband of Susan Wiker, New Holland, Gregory K. Wiker, Jupiter, FL, and Rebecca S., wife of Thomas D. Mason, Lancaster; 15 grandchildren; 10 step grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; 8 step great-grandchildren; 2 step great great-grandchildren; and his sister Sarah Ann Wiker, Lancaster. Three brothers and his granddaughter Greta Wiker preceded Park in Death.
A Viewing will be held on Friday, January 21, 2011, from 10 AM to 12 Noon, followed by the Funeral at 12 Noon at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA. The Rev. Dennis Campbell will officiate. Interment in Mellinger Mennonite Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions can be made in Park’s memory to Hospice of Palm Beach County, 5300 East Avenue, West Palm Beach, FL 33407.
