Norma A. Wike, 87

Norma A. Wike, 87, of Lititz, passed away on Sunday, October 9, 2016 at Moravian Manor.
She was the wife of Bruce B. Wike, with whom she shared 67 years of marriage this past June 10th. Born in Lititz, she was the daughter of the late Charles M. and Mary Hackman Balmer.
Norma worked in the accounting department and as personnel manager at the Woodstream Corporation, retiring in 1991 after 35 years. Prior to this, she worked for Wilbur Chocolate.
A long-time member of Lititz Moravian Church, she had served as a volunteer in the church office, was the assistant to the financial secretary, was a church greeter, the junior high fellowship leader, and drove Moravian Manor residents to church services.
Norma served for 20 years as the Warwick Twp. Auditor, was a cub scout leader, a member of the Lititz Library, a member of the Lititz Historical Foundation and the Woman’s Club.
Her interests included sports, bridge, embroidery, scrapbooking, reading and cooking. What she enjoyed most was spending time with her family, especially her 3 grandsons.
In addition to her husband, Bruce, Norma is survived by her children: Tina M. married to John Myers of Narvon, and Lynn D. Wike, Ph.D of Six Mile, SC; her 3 grandsons: Ernest C., Samuel A. and Benjamin J.; and by her great granddaughter, Sabrina Lynn. She is also survived by her sister, Janet B. Coates and her brother, Charles M. Balmer, Jr., both of Lititz and by her sister-in-law, Gladys Adams of Mountville. She was preceded in death by her sister, Rachel B. Miller.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend Norma’s Funeral Service on Saturday, October 15, 2016 at 11AM at the Lititz Moravian Church, 8 Church Square, Lititz, PA 17543. Friends will be received following the services with a luncheon. Interment will be private. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions in Norma’s memory to The Book of Remembrance at the Lititz Moravian Church.
