Nina L. DeWitt Geiger, 80

Nina L. DeWitt Geiger, 80, of Lititz, passed away on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at Hospice of Lancaster County in Mount Joy.

Born in Elkins, WV, she was the daughter of the late Earl and Olive England Phillips. She was the wife of the late Eugene DeWitt, who passed away in 1998, and the late Marion Geiger, who passed away in 1983.

Nina had worked as a welder for the Woodstream Corporation in Lititz until 1988.

She loved horse racing and was an avid Phillies fan.

Nina is survived by a son, Charles R. DeWitt of Ephrata and a daughter Linda DeWitt of Lititz , her 3 grandchildren Nichole, Daniel and Amy, and her 7 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son David, who died in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Silver Star and Bronze Star Medals for bravery in action. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Everett, Evalina, Ersie, Ada, Pauline and Geraldine, and Gordon.

Charles and Linda would like to thank Jeanie Schickel for her loving care provided for her Aunt Nina.

Friends will be received on Thursday, July 15, 2010 from 930-1030AM at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 414 E. King St., Lancaster, with the Funeral Service to follow at 1030AM.
