Nicholas E. Oglesby III, 55
Nicholas E. Oglesby III, 55, of Lancaster, died unexpectedly on Friday, August 10, 2007 after a brief illness. Born in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Nicholas and Alma Oglesby. He was a 1972 graduate of Brandywine High School in Wilmington, DE, where he grew up.
Nick enjoyed the many years he spent living and working in Avalon, NJ before moving to Lancaster, PA in 2001. He was active with the Conestoga Sertoma and St. John’s Episcopal Church, Lancaster, PA. He loved dogs and being with his family.
He is survived by his brother, Thomas D. Oglesby of Princeton, NJ; and his three sisters: Patricia A. Oglesby of Havertown, PA; Louise O. Weiner of Powell, Ohio; and Laura O. Gehman of Lancaster, PA; as well as 10 nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held at 12:00 noon on Saturday, August 18, 2007 at St. John’s Episcopal Church, 321 W. Chestnut Street, Lancaster, PA 17603. Friends will be received from 11:30 until noon on Saturday at the church. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Episcopal Church. Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home and Chapel assisting the family with arrangements.
