Sally Vanderslice:  I am disappointed that I could not make it to pay my respects to Murray and to see Mary.  I enjoyed his lovely sense of humor and he served well as a District Judge.  His ablity to make decisions will be missed.

 Dear Mary and family,
Such a great loss.  I first met Murray when he would attend Rotary meetings every Monday night at Olde Hickory.  He was a lot of fun to be around.  I am so sorry for your loss.  I will offer Mass up for him on Su day and light a candle in his memeroy.

Dear Mary
We are deeply saddened to read of Murray’s passing. He will be remembered with fondness and with thoughts of the good times we had dancing away on Saturday nights. As you know we have lived in Mexico for the past 10 plus years and will not be able to attend his service but our thoughts are with you and family.

So sorry to hear of his passing.  Spent quite a bit of time in his courtroom when I was a Patrolman.  I often saw him and Mary dancing at the American Legion on Friday evenings before I moved to S. Carolina last year.  Prayers sent….

Mrs. Horton, Sharon, Marie, Karen, and families,
I am sorry to hear of Mr. Horton’s passing.  I have fond memories of your father and family, the stories he told, his laughter, his silliness, his upbeat personality, my visits with your family to your grandparents house at the lake and to church.  Sometimes when I would stay overnight, he would sit at the breakfast table with us the next morning and tell stories. I will never, ever, forget the story about pinning on a prom corsage! What a fun, lively person he was. Your Dad had a great zeal for life. He will be missed. I am sorry for your loss. May God grant you comfort and peace through family and friends.  With sympathy, Carol Kettering Hoke
