Condolences to the Family

January 24, 2021

I want to express my sincere sympathy at Miriam’s passing. I lived many years ago on Lancaster Avenue when Miriam lived at the corner of Walnut Street and Lancaster Avenue. She was a dear friend and I spent many nights sleeping at her house. We kept in touch even when she married and then moved to East Petersburg and I married and moved to Pequea. Over the years we lost touch unfortunately. I wanted to recall something that I now find funny, but was the practice back then. When I went to her house or she came to mine, we stood outside and called “M I R I A M,” or “P A T,” really loudly so it could be heard in the home. Don’t ask why we didn’t knock or ring a bell but, as I mentioned, it was the practice at the time, and I have told my family about this over the years and we all had a good laugh about it. Anyway I was sorry to see that she has passed and wanted to send my condolences. God bless!
Patricia (Barnett) Sourbeer
