Michael H. Goodman, 68
Michael H. Goodman, 68, of Lancaster, passed away on Saturday, April 2, 2011 at Essa Flory Hospice Center. He was born in Lancaster and was the son of the late Richard and Miriam Goodman.
Mike is survived by his wife of 31 years, Belinda L. (Erline) Goodman.
He was of the Methodist Faith.
Mike was self employed for most of his career. He owned and operated a gas station on Prince St. and the former deli, Goodies To Go, on the corner of Lititz Pk. and Liberty St. He also was the maintenance supervisor for the Community Action Program (CAP). Later in life he became a collector, buying and selling at online auctions.
He enjoyed the outdoors, animals, and raised 15 Dalmatians.
Surviving in addition to his wife, a son, Christopher M. Goodman, husband of Christy, of Portsmouth, VA, two brothers, Jere Goodman, husband of Mona, of Lancaster, Dale, Goodman, husband of Isabel, of Millersville, and a sister, Shirley Keene, wife of Owen, of Lancaster. He was preceded in death by two brothers, John and Richard Goodman.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Memorial Service on Wednesday, April 6 at 2:30pm from the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pk. Lititz, PA 17543. A viewing will be from 1:30-2:30pm at Snyder’s. Interment will be private.
