Melva C. White, 93

Melva C. White, 93, of Willow Street died Saturday, May 1, 2010 at Lancaster General Hospital.

Born in Chestnut Hill, Columbia, PA, she was the daughter of the late William and Cora Bard Hubley. She was a homemaker and the wife of the late Edwin R. White who died in 1992.

She was a member of Pearl Street United Methodist Church in Lancaster.

Melva was a very loving and gracious mother and grandmother. She enjoyed spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are four children: William E. husband of Susan A. White, Willow Street, Dolores J. wife of Ronald Hoak, Conestoga, Carol wife of Charles Fridinger, Millersville, Linda wife of Jason Sindall, Lancaster, 12 Grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren, a sister: Pearl Poole, Lititz, and a brother, Ralph Hubley, Leola.

Melva was preceded in death by three brothers: Roy, Clyde, and Paul Hubley and a great grandson: Logan Zambanini.

A Funeral Service will be held at the Charles F. Snyder Funeral Home, 441 N. George Street, Millersville, Pa on Friday, May 7, 2010 at 11:00AM with Rev. Armando Iraheta officiating.  Interment will follow in the Ironville United Methodist Cemetery in Columbia, PA. There will be a viewing at the funeral home on Friday from 10-11:00AM. Please omit flowers. Contributions may be made in Melva’s memory to the American Cancer Society, 314 Good Drive, Lancaster, PA 17603. Dearest Dee and Ron,

I wanted to express my deepest condolences, and to let you know that I am thinking about you in your time of loss.  It is always hard to lose a loved one, but remember that they will always be with you in spirit and in your heart forever and ever.  Always remember the good times you had together and the love you shared.  Here is my number if you ever want to talk 314-7616, believe me I have experienced enough family deaths young and old to last me a life time, so I certainly know what your going through.  Take care and know that I have missed you both.
