Melanie S. McCoury, 44
November 15, 2017
Melanie S. McCoury, 44, of Millersville, PA passed away on Sunday, October 15, 2017 at UPMC Pinnacle Lancaster (formerly Lancaster Regional Hospital). Born in Lancaster General Hospital, she was the daughter of Roxana and James R. McCoury.
Melanie was at her happiest when she was with family and friends or her cats. Her smile was certainly the brightest. In her free time, she enjoyed knitting scarves, making jewelry, gardening, and reading about the Medieval time-period or the supernatural. Melanie had a kind of unconditional love for others no matter their circumstances. She could always bring a smile to your face if you were down and out and she will be missed dearly for this.
In addition to her parents, Melanie is survived by her son, Antonio Vega of Millersville; her brother Matt McCoury and family of West Grove, PA; and the many people who called her family and friend.
Interment will be private at the request of the family. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Pet Pantry of Lancaster County, 26 Millersville Road, Lancaster, PA 17603.
