Mary R. Fulton, 96
Mary R. Fulton, 96, of Willow Street, passed away on January 30, 2012 at St. Anne’s Retirement Community. Born May 7, 1915 in Lancaster and raised on Cabbage Hill. She was the daughter of the late August and Ida (Fritsch) Kirchner.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles E. Fulton, in 1992.
Mary was a lifelong member of Historic St. Mary’s Church. She was a member for 96 years.
She enjoyed playing cards, especially playing in her pinochle club with the same group for over 50 years and gardening.
Mary is survived by five children; three sons, Charles “Charlie” E. Fulton, Jr., husband of Elaine, of Lititz, The Rev. Robert P. Fulton, of Covina, CA, Francis “Ray” R. Fulton, husband of Anna, of Strasburg, two daughters, Patricia Fulton-Jacobs, wife of W. Hank, of Lancaster, Margaret R. Jordan, wife of Michael, of Ocala, FL, two grandsons, Douglas B. Fulton, of Manayunk, and Christopher C. Jordan, of Madison, WI, a brother, Francis “Frank” X. Kirchner, of Willow Valley, and a sister, Patricia “Pat” Scarborough, of Lancaster. Mary was preceded in death by three sisters, Catherine Krantz, Margaret Crum, Rose Mary Kirchner, and two brothers, Donald and Leo Kirchner.
Relatives and friends are respectfully invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Friday, February 3, 2012 at 10am at Historic St. Mary’s Church 119 S. Prince St. Lancaster, PA 17603 with Mary’s son, The Rev. Robert P. Fulton as Celebrant. A viewing will be from 9-10am at the church. Final farewell and commendation will be in St. Joseph New Catholic Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made in Mary’s memory, because of the lifelong love she had for her church, to Historic St. Mary’s Church. My condolences to her family. Mrs Fulton was a special lady with such a caring family! I loved to seing her each week & doing her hair & nails @ St Anne’s. I would have loved to know her longer & in her younger years! She will be missed!
