Mary Lou Martier, 82

Mary Lou Sill Martier, 82, of Brethren Village, passed away, Wednesday, March 31, 2021. Born in Altoona, she was the daughter of the late David Calvin and Edna Mae (McConahy) Sill.
Mary graduated from Pennsbury High School, Fairless Hills, PA, where she lettered in field hockey and softball. She went to work for Bell Telephone Co. and as a florist for over 25 years as the owner of Martier’s Florist.
Mary enjoyed playing pinochle with family. She also enjoyed watching sports, especially football and baseball. Mary traveled extensively throughout the United States. Mary loved her dogs, raising Alaskan Malamutes for many years.
Mary is survived by her son, Charles D. Martier, Jr., husband of Bonnie Stauffer-Martier, of Ephrata; three grandchildren: Chad R. Martier, husband of Abbie, Corey A. Martier, Fiancée Kylie, and Stephen C. Hopkins; her sister, Nancy Sill Walker; her son-in-law, Robert Hopkins; Great Grand Daughter Ava; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her daughter, Susan N. Hopkins and siblings: Jack Sill, Robert Sill, and Corinne Sinisi.
The family would like to extend their sincere thanks to the staff at Brethren Village for the wonderful care they provided to Mary. Funeral Services for Mary will be private.

Chuckie & Bonnie, We loved Aunt Mary and have many good memories of her. She was always happy to help with anything we asked and she always made us beautiful flowers for whatever occasion we needed them ! I’m sure she is in Heaven with Uncle Jack, Uncle Bob, Aunt Peep, Aunt Corrine and Uncle Dan playing cards and telling stories ! Love, Angelina, Brooks II, Gabriella, Toni & Brooks

Our generation is almost gone now. I’m sorry I couldn’t visit aunt Mary this past year but she was in my thoughts and prayers.it is a comfort to know the family is together in heaven. Please let me know. Chuck if there will be a memorial service.
