Mary Elizabeth Quinn went home to be with the Lord on January 9, 2013 at Hospice & Community Care, Essa Flory in Lancaster, PA. Mary was born on February 6, 1930. Mary was the daughter of the late Tom McComish and Katie Woods of Bronx, N.Y.

Mary has been a devoted member of the Catholic Church throughout her life. Next to her in the church pew, was her husband, Bernard (Barney) Quinn.  Mary and Barney had 63 married years together.

She has one surviving sister, Ellen O’Toole of Rockaway Beach, N.Y.

Mary enjoyed playing BINGO. Mary also worked at Sears for twelve years. Mary was dedicated to customer service and always knew how to make her customers laugh and smile with her jokes. Mary also loved the two family dogs dearly. Mary enjoyed Irish step dancing and Irish music. Mary was a talented, avid knitter who was speedy and crafty with her knitting needles creating hundreds of sweaters throughout her life for family and friends.

At Mary’s request there will be no viewing. Mary will be buried at Calverton National Cemetery in Calverton, N.Y. at 210 Princeton Boulevard, Calverton, N.Y. 11933. Honoring her wishes, this burial service will be attended by immediate family members only.
