Duane, Greg and Family,

I remember the first time I met your mother back in 1980, she had come to my home on N.Duke St. looking for her 11 year old son Gregory. Who at the time had left his bicycle tied to a sign outside my apartment. His bike was there for about 3 days and he had not been home for like a day and 1/2. Of course he was with his friend Sabrina (which you would have thought they were boyfriend and girlfriend as much as they were together) but he never let his mother know where he was,so she was worried. How she found out our address and his bicycle is beyond me, but she was a very worried and upset mother who had a few choice words for me and my partner. I was always afraid of her after that, but Gregory always said she was a piece of cake and he could handle her. I doubt that though from the tone of her words and the look on her face when I told her he spent a lot of time over here.
It turned out to be a funny situation and she warmed up to us eventually but I never crossed her or denied her the opportunity to chat with her son if he was hiding out at our place.
I thought a few reminders of her younger years might help with the healing at this time in your lives. As we get older we all realize that time is short even though sometimes 32 years fly bye and your saying goodbye to someone you love.
I hope in this time of mourning that you find time in your hearts to remember the good times that were part of all your lives. Me and my partner will not be able to make your service but we will have you in our thoughts and prayers, please accept our deepest condolences.

Sincerely,
Deb Oates & Rachel Baugher

Bobby, Duane, Dori Lou, Greg, Stacy, and kids-
You were all blessed to have such a wonderful, caring Mother who lived for her kids and grandkids. She will be greatly missed by many. I will miss our talks and laughs we had on "hair day" every other month. She is in a better place, and will watch over you all(so behave Gregory Alan). Sorry I can’t make the service because of my new job, but she will be in my thoughts and prayers today. My condolences to you all:)
Shelli

Jeanie, Ken and Arlene,
You’ve been on my mind frequently since learning of Mary’s death especially today with the final parting taking place.  Alyce and I extend our deepest condolences to you and yours. May the fond memories of your times together bring you comfort.  With loving thoughts,
Don

I was saddened to read about ‘Mrs. Eisenberger’s’ passing.  I have many fond memories of her from back in the day (the 70’s)!  She always invited us (the Barlieb kids) to hang out on the front porch offering iced tea.  We had many laughs and she had a nice smile.  She always worried about Charley riding his bike.  Time has certainly gone by, but I wanted you all to know that I am thinking of you at this sad time.  I remember her taking me to visit her father in the Marticville home by the church, plus visiting the church as well.  Despite all the stress from those days, she was able to see the good in people nearby.

May our Lord bless you and comfort you knowing she is at rest,
Amy

Dear Jeanie, Arlene, Ken and Dottie:
Please accept my sincere condolences on Mary’s passing.  My memories of her go back to Marticville Elementary and the one which stands out is one of our Christmas programs, directed by Mrs. Aston. We sang a duet of "All I Want for Christmas is my Two Front Teeth" and we had to cover our front teeth with Black Jack gum to make them look missing.  Of course, as cousins we spent many hours playing "house" together.  Unfortunately, we lost contact over the years, but memories go on.  Hope your memories give you peace and comfort.  I’m sorry I was unable to attend her funeral.
Love to all,
Dottie
