Mary D. DeMascolo, 89
Mary D. DeMascolo, 89, of Lancaster, passed away, Sunday, August 28, 2011 at Hospice of Lancaster County, Mount Joy. Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Alesandrina (Grossi) DiCola. Mary was the wife of the late Victor M. DeMascolo who died in 2000.
Mary was employed by Sacred Heart Church as a secretary in the rectory for 23 years. She was employed at Fort Indiantown Gap during World War II. Mary was a member of St. Anne’s Catholic Church.
Mary is survived by 3 children; Victor M. DeMascolo Jr. of Lancaster, Joseph DeMascolo of Lancaster, and Esther Gillett of Glendale, Arizona, six grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
A Christian Prayer Service will be held Friday, September 2, 2011 at 11 a.m. at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543 with Rev. Norman C. Hohenwarter Jr. as Celebrant. Family and friends will be received before the service at the Funeral Home from 10:30 a.m.-11 a.m. Interment will follow at St. Anthony Catholic Cemetery.
