Mary Agnes Dirk, 98

Mary Agnes Dirk, 98, of Lancaster, went home with the Lord on Tuesday, April 12, 2011. She was preceded in death by her husband Edward E. Dirk, a daughter Vivian Dirk Wyre, two grandchildren, Dorothy Dirk Cosenzo and Edward V. Masterson, two sisters and five brothers.

Born in Pine Summit, PA, she was the daughter of the late William E. and Margaret Bell Young Dirk. She was a member of St. Andrew U.C.C., Lancaster. Mary worked at the Mansion House Hotel in West Chester during WWII. She also worked at Brandywine Hall Nursing Home, was personnel manager of F.W. Woolworths at Concord Mall, DE and retired from Rea & Derick Drugs.

Surviving Mary are her daughters Miss Eloise E. Dirk, with whom she lived, and Mary Ellen, wife of Donald R. Toney, Richmond, VA, a special grandson Anthony S. DiRocco, Jr. and his family, VA, and numerous grandchildren great-grandchildren and great great-grandchildren.

In keeping with Mothers wishes there will be no visitation. Services and interment will be private. Please omit flowers. mother’s and visited her at our family business in Birdsboro.  Mr & Mrs Dirk
fixed our families cars, especially my Grandmother.  My sister Helen
