Madeline B. Eckenrode, 78

Madeline B. Eckenrode, 78, died on Tuesday, November 28, 2006 at Magnolias of Lancaster.

Born in Lancaster, she was the daughter of the late George and Louise Hoppler. She was preceded in death by her husband William R. Eckenrode, Sr. and her sister, Anna Trego, wife of Don Trego.

She was a member of St. John Neumann Church. After the death of her husband, Madeline went to work for Raub Supply Co. and later in the Computer Payroll Dept. of ADP Automatic Data Processing Co. until she retired. She was a devoted housewife and loved cooking, gardening, and sewing.

She is survived by her son, William R. Eckenrode, Jr.; two sisters, Mrs. Laura Greenawalt and Mrs. Miriam Burkland, wife of A. William Burkland; nieces, Jill Greenawalt, Mrs. Barbara Weber, and Mrs. Patricia Keller, wife of Larry Keller; a nephew, Jack Greenawalt; two brothers-in-law, Mr. Harold Eckenrode and Don Trego; and sister-in-law, Mrs. Mary Lee Geiter.

Relatives and Friends are respectfully invited to attend the Mass of Christian Burial from Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 558 W. Walnut St., on Saturday, December 2, at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Father Michael Grab as Celebrant. Final Farewell in St. Joseph’s New Catholic Cemetery, Bausman, PA. There will be a viewing at the Church from 10:00-11:00 a.m.
