Lois J. Worthington, 83

Lois J. Worthington, 83, of Elizabeth Twp., passed away at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy on Saturday, September 2, 2017. She was born Flemington, NJ to the late Charles and Ruth German Sherman and was married to the late Raymond F. Worthington for 37 years until his death in 2002.

She worked for Warner-Lambert and in retirement had been a Nanny. Lois was a very caring person, who enjoyed nature, especially yellow flowers. A NASCAR fan, her favorite driver was Tony Stewart.

Lois is survived by her 5 children, Debbie, wife of Chris Falk of Upper Black Eddy, Thomas Moore of Kutztown, Raymond Worthington, Jr., husband of Tina of Lititz, Earl Worthington, husband of Judith of Ephrata and William Worthington, husband of Lori of Ephrata; 8 grandchildren, Brandon, Amanda and Tyra Worthington, Heather Herr, Jessie Wadsworth, Chrissy Stefancik, Jaymie Galasso and Brigitte Jeter; several great-grandchildren and her cousin Joan of Texas. In addition to her husband Raymond, Lois was preceded in death by her son James Moore, grandson Charles Moore and her brother Charles Sherman. Lois leaves behind a very dear friend Angel Williams.

Friends are invited to greet Lois’s family from 9-10 AM, followed by a celebration of her life at 10 AM on Saturday, September 9, 2017, at the Charles F. Snyder Jr. Funeral Home & Crematory, 3110 Lititz Pike, Lititz, PA 17543, with Rev. Gerard M. McGrath officiating. Private interment in Conestoga Memorial Park. Please omit flowers. Memorial contributions may be made to The Humane League of Lancaster County, 2195 Lincoln Hwy. East, Lancaster, PA 17602.

So sorry for loss. I came to knock on door to see how you are doing and the neighbor told me you passed away. The last I heard you were upset with your daughter and I was concerned. I have written letters with no response. Now I know why. God rest your soul honey. You are with your sweet brother now.

Raymond just told me about the passing of his mom, me Raymond and his mom used to meet at the green dragon. We all loved sharing time together. Thank you for the great memories. Glad I got the pleasure to meet angel too. Love to all the family, Cammy.

So sorry for the loss of your Mother. Charles and Bernie Sherman were dear friends of mine. I never met Lois, but heard only good things about her from them and her Mother Ruth.
