I know it’s been a few years, but Mrs. Davish taught me in Kindergarten at E.R. Martin. I will never forget her! I hope you know she is remembered fondly by hundreds of former students.
Thank you, Mrs. Davish!

A sister’s love is so special.  Linda and I lost our baby sister, Mary, 4 years ago and now I have lost my big sister. I will miss her so very much. She was an amazing woman and a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and sister. She and Denny had so much love and respect for each other and she loved her children and grandchildren with all of her heart.  Her greatest joy these past 11 years was spending time with her grandchildren. I am so grateful that she and Denny had these past 6 years to spend time together after retirement. I love her so much. A piece of my heart will be missing forever. I love you Linda.  Rest in peace.

We are so very, very sorry for your loss.  Hoping you find peace and comfort in the love of those who care about you.
Love,
Uncle Bill and Aunt Donna

Dear Denny, Amy, Chad and Kate,

Although the miles have separated us for so many years, my heart has warm, wonderful memories of your loving wife, mother, grandmother.  Linda always had the best laugh and smile, which were truly contagious.  Your family was truly blessed to have this very special person as a wife and mother.  I am deeply saddened by the news, but my thoughts and prayers are with you.  There is just a special relationship that exists among family, but nothing prepares us for this inevitable reality.  I hope your sadness is short and your memories are long.
Much love,
John, Lynn Fitz and Family (Oklahoma)

In the beginning Linda was actually my rival because I didn’t want to share my big brother who was also my hero, with her (this was many years ago, of course)!.  Linda turned out to be a perfect match for Denny and she made him extremely happy in their 30 some years of marriage. Once they got their second house with 2 1/2 bathrooms I think they were extremely happy, compared to the one bathroom they all had to share while raising the three kids! Yet, Linda never complained.  I’m so glad that Denny & Linda were able to enjoy a few years of retirement together to just relax and frequently visit their kids.  She was a very loving mother and grandmother.  Her joy of children was always evident even around my own grandchildren, when she would play school and read together with them.  She was very optimistic, even in the saddest of circumstances. We will miss her visits and smiling face here in Levittown.

Lancaster lost a beautiful, kind and consider woman on Saturday.  She was courageous and brave in her fight until the end.  She has left her family with many fond memories.  She will be sorely missed but we can take comfort knowing that she is back with those who have passed on before her, most especially her grandson, Christopher.
With love and condolences to all,
(Aunt) Marion

My sincerest condolences to the Davish family. As a school counselor  I had the honor of working with both Mr. and Mrs. Davish in the School District of Lancaster. During my first year as a counselor I worked with Mr Davish and later towards the end of career I had worked with Linda at Martin elementary….She was one of the best kindergaren teachers i have ever encountered. I remember one particular student she asked me to observe and within minutes we had the child removed due to several factors only to find out later that the psychologist had placed that child in Linda’s room knowing  that Linda was a miracle worked……….after extensive research and using Linda’s vast experience as a teacher ,the child was removed………….Mrs Davish remains in my heart as one of the most complete professional with a heart of gold and nerves of steel….She will always remain in my heart as a fondly loved and missed individual. Denny and children,
On behalf of the DiIorio family, please accept our heartfelt condolences on the death of your wife, Linda, and mother.  I have some lovely, funny memories when you both were newly married and Aunt Marian and Uncle Frank rented a 2nd fl apt. in Wildwood for a week. They rented with your parents and that whole week was nothing but a huge laugh for all of them. Anyway, Denny and Linda came down for a couple of days right after they got married and they were teased incessantly for being newlyweds.  So much laughter (and alcohol!) and Denny and Linda were such good sports!! I remember Linda as a sweet, young, pretty girl who took all of their teasings with such grace.

God Bless you all as you journey through these months and years without her.
Diane, Glenn and Greg DiIorio

My heart goes out to the family but rest assured, Linda is in the loving arms of our Lord. I pray the Lord gives You all peace, courage and comfort in this sad time.

I speak for the Watson family as we expresses our deepest sympathy to your family at this sad time.  Although it was so many years ago that our paths crossed, I remember Linda fondly.  I taught in the SDoL for years.  Denny taught both my boys (Jeff and Matt) at Burrowes Elementary School and affected their lives positively.   Linda was "involved" with activities at Burrowes and I came to know her as a caring and supportive woman who embraced children with love.  Our family has moved out of Lancaster but we have fond memories of all the years spent there.  It’s with deepest sympathy that we extend our condolences.  Our prayers go out for your entire family.
