Larry L. Fetter, 72

Larry L. Fetter, 72, of Ephrata passed away Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at The Gardens at Stevens. Born in Schoeneck, PA he was the son of the late Harry B. and Elizabeth C. (Hehnly) Fetter.
He was a 1963 graduate of Ephrata High School.
Larry worked for Agway Energy Services for over 20 years as an HVAC Tech. He also worked as the head custodian at the Brownstown Elementary school and drove school bus for sporting events.
He was a former member of the Jerusalem Lutheran Church where he sang in the choir, was a member of the church council, served as a youth group advisor and Sunday school teacher. Larry was also a former member of the Akron Lions Club and was a member of Mellingers Lutheran Church.
Larry’s sincerity, kindness and generosity put everyone around him at ease and made him much loved by all who knew him. His infectious smile always lit up the room. He was an enthusiastic sports and music fan. He would often entertain his family and friends by singing.
He is survived by a son, Michael Fetter husband of Susan and a daughter, Michelle Colon wife of Leoncio both of Stevens. Also surviving are three grandchildren, a brother, Harry L. Fetter husband of Barbara of Denver and four sisters, Peg Greenly wife of Harlan of Denver, Clara Walters wife of Ronald of Ephrata, Mary Burkholder wife of Richard of Akron, Barbara Fetter of Denver and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Larry was preceded in death by his brother, James Fetter.
Burial was held at the convenience of the family in the Mellinger’s Union Meeting House and Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Larry’s memory may be made to the American Diabetes Association, P. O. Box 11454, Alexandria, VA 22312.
