Kenneth R. Hardcastle, Jr., 45

Kenneth R. Hardcastle, Jr., 45, of Lancaster, passed away on Wednesday, June 8, 2011 at Conestoga View. He was born in Lancaster and was the son of Kenneth R. Hardcastle, Sr. husband of Dena, of Lancaster and his late mother, Shirley Hardcastle.

Ken was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, the living and learning class, and the breakfast fellowship.

He graduated from Landisville Learning Center where he played basketball for the school. He enjoyed fishing and associating with people especially at his church. Ken was an avid Dallas Cowboys fan, enjoyed all sports, and playing card games.

He is survived by three sisters, Stacey Cherry, wife of Frank, Jessica Hawk, Alexis Williams Hawk, two brothers, Jermaine and Joe Hardcastle, all of Lancaster, and close friend, Michael L. Ervin, husband of Lucille, of Lancaster.

A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held on Sunday, June 12, 2011 at 7pm at Trinity Lutheran Church in the Chapel at the Fisher Parish House 31 S. Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602. A gathering will be held following the service. Interment will be in the Trinity Lutheran Memorial Garden at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Ken’s memory to the S. June Smith Center 600 Eden Rd. I used to work for Community Services Group back in 1987-92.  I knew Kenny way back then when he lived in Leola.  He always had a smile and never failed to put one on my face.  I’m very sorry for your loss.
