Kenneth G. Frank, 79

Kenneth G. Frank, 79, of Lancaster, passed away on Sunday, August 12, 2012 at Hospice & Community Care at Essa Flory. Born in 1933 in Lancaster, he was the son of the late Frederick C. and Viola (Geiter) Frank.

Ken is survived by his wife, Nancy (Kienzle) Frank, and they would have been married for 59 years in October.

He was a graduate of East Lampeter High School and was proud of being an Eagle Scout.

He served his county in the US Navy Reserves.

Ken was the owner of Frank Cement Paving Company, Inc., a fifth generation concrete contractor and he retired in 1993. During his retirement, Ken worked as a driver at the Manheim Auto Auction.

He was a former member of the Strasburg Sportsman Association, Cosmopolitan Club, and Pine Hill Lodge Hunting Camp in Tioga County. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and crabbing on the Chesapeake Bay. Ken also loved bird watching and feeding his feathered friends.

Surviving in addition to his wife, are two daughters, Joyce E. Hoffman, wife of Mark S., Sr., of New Providence, Barbara F. Delp, wife of Mark S., of Mount Joy, and a son, Daniel G. Frank, husband of Michelle, of Lititz, seven grandchildren, six great grandchildren, and a sister, Joan Martin, of Santa Clara, CA.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held at the Elks Club Lodge #134 219 N. Duke St. Lancaster, PA 17602 on August 24, 2012 from 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Ken’s memory may be sent to the Chesapeake Bay Foundation 614 N. My heart goes out to you in your loss. I have many fond memories of Kenny while growing up. My parents were friends with Olie & Fred. It is hard to believe that so many years have gone by and we are at this place. My thoughts and prayers are with you.
