Dear Jean and other members of Sis’ family.

I know most of you do not know me, but I cared for "Sis" as her Physician Assistant at Lancaster Gastroenterology, Inc. on 3-4 occasions this past year and want to convey my sympathy at the loss this wonderful woman. I was so sorry to see her obituary as I was not involved in her care during the hospitalization, so I did not yet know she had passed.  From the start of our visits, I felt a close connection as Sis opened up and we were able to talk deeply about not only her medical care, but about the good and hard times of life. To my great joy,  I got to meet Jean when Sis asked her to come  to one appointment,  and I was so happy to talk to both of you about her health issues and especially about issues of faith that day.  I wish I could tell you how many times I sensed that Sis and I were put in each others’ paths to encourage one another and how many times I prayed for her.  I felt especially honored when she told me to call her "Sis" and when she told me about her late husband and confided how much she missed him with many tears.  The last time I saw her she told me how God was helping her and I told her she was just my favorite patient – I’m so glad I got to say that!  Please know that even this last year she touched me as she shared so much of herself with me and let me share with her.  I know you must all miss her very much and I wanted to be sure you knew how very special Sis was to many others, even some of us you don’t know.  My thoughts and prayers are with you as you mourn this difficult loss.

With sympathy and prayers,
Lavonne Johnston, PA-C

My condolences to Sis’ sister Jean and to Sis’ family.   I’ll surely remember Sis and all of you in my prayers.
Prayerfully  . . . .
Lorraine R.
