Karen L. (Morrow) Shenk, 56

Karen L. (Morrow) Shenk, 56, of Millersville, died Friday, August 14, 2015 at Hospice & Community Care, Mount Joy.
Born in Lancaster, she was the wife of Dennis L. Shenk of Millersville, and the daughter of Nancy (Brian) Morrow of Millersville and the late Jerald Morrow.
She was a member of Living Hope Community Church, Lancaster.
Along with her mother, Karen served seniors for 20 years at the Next Gen Senior Center. The center became the hub from which programs and services help seniors maintain their dignity and independence. In addition to serving as the President of their Board of Directors, Karen was President of the Millersville Business Association and the Penn Manor Education Foundation. She served on the Women-in-Business Committee and Mentoring Committee with the Lancaster Chamber of Commerce and was a member of the Lancaster Sertoma Club. Karen, along with her daughter and a friend, started Agape Care, Inc. in 2005 and Karen served as President and Executive Director. She also served as the Missions Director for Transformation Ministries, travelling with missions teams to Nicaragua.
In addition to her mother and her husband of 12 years, Karen is survived by a daughter, Nicki Nafziger and her husband Jeremy of Millersville; a son, Joshua G. Reynolds of Lancaster; 4 stepchildren: Kimberly Reed and her husband Tim of Maytown, PA, Rebecca Gantz and her husband Delron of Lancaster, Tommy Shenk of Washington Borough, PA, and Jason Shenk of Pequea; 14 grandchildren; and 3 sisters: Elaine Poague and her husband Bob of Lititz, Joyce Miller of Columbia, and Wendy Walton and her husband Roger of Lancaster. She was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Stephen Miller.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday, August 20, 2015 at Living Hope Community Church, 2823 Columbia Ave., Lancaster with Pastor Ron Ressler officiating. Burial will be private at the convenience of the family.

Denny,Nicki ,and family- We were so sad to hear about Karen’s passing. As Chirstians we know she’s in Glory with our Lord, but as people, we will grieve because we miss her so much. Our Condolences to all the family at Karens passing. She was a beautiful and wonderful freind and fellow Sertoman and we will miss her. Both Marna and I send our prayers  to Nicki and all her family. She will be missed but she is now at Peace. We will light a candel in her memory at next Sundays Mass
