We were schocked to learn that our member and friend Julie Martini passed away on October 1, 2015. We offer our sympathies to her family and we mourn with them the loss of a beautiful person.

Julie joined our Club in 2011, very much welcomed by friends from boarding school times.  After a short period, she took on the responsibilities of Corresponding Secretary of the Club. Being a professional designer, she brought our printed material up to date. Since 2012, cards, flyers, and brochures have shown her signature. For our traditional Magnolia Ball, she created a new design for the invitation card and promotional material that we continue to use.  In 2014, Julie changed jobs and became our Hospitality Chairlady. Together with an all-American team, she welcomed our members to the monthly membership meetings and handled all arrangements with the hosting hotel.

Being a gifted photographer, Julie documented our charity events — Silver Tea and Magnolia Ball – and we all looked forward to the meetings when she would show us her specific view of the event.

Besides all that Julie did for our Club, we were happy to be together with her as a person and as a friend.  We miss her deeply and will treasure her memory always.
